Orchid bark has a wide range of uses. It does not come from orchids but rather from Douglas furs which is a more sustainable tree than other commonly used species (such as redwood).
Mix in with soils to lengthen the life of soil. We mix this bark directly into our isopod culture substrate to keep things loose and full of nutrients.
